Στον κατάλογο των αδιάγνωστων προστέθηκαν αρχικά και τέσσερα αξιοπρόσεκτα τέχνεργα (εικ.17). Κι αυτό γιατί, αφενός εντοπίστηκαν στις παρυφές της χαμηλής τούμπας του νεολιθικού οικισμού Ανάργυροι ΙΧb και σε επίχωση με ελάχιστη τροχήλατη κεραμική και λίγες κεραμίδες - εντελώς ασυμβίβαστη στρωματογραφικά με τα παρακείμενα αμιγώς νεολιθικά λιμναία στρώματα – και αφετέρου τα κατασκευαστικά και μορφολογικά τους χαρακτηριστικά αποκλίνουν κατά πολύ σε σχέση με τα «συνήθη» προϊστορικά ξύλινα τέχνεργα του οικισμού.
Κατ’αρχήν, από τη μακροσκοπική εξέτασή τους δείχνουν πως είναι κατασκευασμένα από τον ίδιο τύπο ξύλου - τα δύο εξ αυτών συγκολλώνται - και επεξεργασμένα με την ίδια τεχνική, οπότε μια πρώτη υπόθεση ότι πρόκειται για τμήματα ενός αντικειμένου, οι διαστάσεις του οποίου προφανώς ήταν μεγαλύτερες από τα διασωθέντα μέρη, είναι αρκετά ασφαλής. Ενδεχομένως αποτελούν τμήμα μιας σύνθετης κατασκευής, με έντονα στοιχεία διακόσμησης, όπως είναι προφανές από το κυλινδρικό σχήμα των συγκεκριμένων τμημάτων, τους δακτυλίους και τις περίτεχνες ελικοειδείς κυρτώσεις, αποτέλεσμα της ενδεχόμενης χρήσης τόρνου (Kyrieleis 1969: 127; Richter 1966: 124).
Αξιολογώντας αυτές τις πρωταρχικές μας παρατηρήσεις και διερευνώντας τη σχετική βιβλιογραφία (Mols 1999: εικ. 3, 10, 26, 61; Schmitz 1929: πιν. 15, 17, 21; Steingräber 1979: πιν. 2, 9, 11), οδηγούμαστε με επιφύλαξη σε μία χρονολογική τοποθέτηση των αντικειμένων αυτών στα ιστορικά χρόνια (ελληνιστικά ή ενδεχομένως στα ρωμαϊκά χρόνια). Το ενδεχόμενο ύπαρξης κάποιας εγκατάστασης αυτών των χρόνων πάνω στην κορυφή της χαμηλής νεολιθικής τούμπας δεν μπορεί να αποκλειστεί, αφού στα ανώτερα διαταραγμένα στρώματα εντοπίζονται σποραδικά οψιμότερα αρχαιολογικά κινητά λείψανα. Θεωρούμε, επίσης, ότι τα ξύλινα αυτά τέχνεργα πιθανόν να αποτελούσαν τμήματα κάποιου επίπλου, χωρίς ωστόσο να μπορούμε να βεβαιώσουμε αν πρόκειται για ανάκλιντρο, κάθισμα, σκαμνί ή μικρό τραπέζι. Σύμφωνα με ορισμένα βιβλιογραφικά παραδείγματα τα έπιπλα αυτά και ιδιαίτερα τα λεπτότερά τους μέρη (πόδια) κατασκευάζονταν από ξεχωριστά μικρότερα κομμάτια ξύλου και συναρμολογούνταν στη συνέχεια μεταξύ τους, έτσι ώστε να μειώνεται το κόστος κατασκευής και να επιτυγχάνεται η μεγαλύτερη αντοχή του επίπλου (Ransom 1905: 49). Σε ένα από τα τέχνεργα από τους Αναργύρους ΙΧb η πίεση που δεχόταν το αντικείμενο στο κάτω κυκλικό τμήμα του είναι εμφανής, καθώς η επιφάνειά του μοιάζει συμπιεσμένη και φθαρμένη, οπότε μπορούμε να συμπεράνουμε ότι μάλλον πρόκειται για το σημείο επαφής του επίπλου με το έδαφος.
